MISSION of Mount Olive Lutheran Church
Our Mission
In the hot month of July 2008, the long range planning committee gathered all committees chairs (and other interested persons) for a discussion about the current ”Mission Statement”.
This was after several visits to other churches, in which one pastor told us our mission statement should be easy enough for the kids in Sunday School to recite it. We discussed what 3 words described our Church and unanimously decided upon Welcome, Grow and Share.
We proposed the following to the Church Council and ultimately to the Church membership, which was quickly adopted as our Mission Statement.

SHARING GODS LOVE
For our Sunday School children we shortened it to:
WELCOME
GROW
SHARE

Our Vision
Our vision is to create a welcoming environment that invites people into worship, fellowship, Christian education and service to the Lord; to increase our outreach to the community, and the world through faith, prayer, and stewardship; and to expand our programs that will develop and nurture disciples who go out and share God’s love.
